 Adjustable strap...

swivel clasps...

about 16" long...

 4 1/2" zipper...

and just waiting to dry.

Custom Bunny Bag Day 4

I'm getting there but there was no way I was gonna get these metal eyes to work though. I tried everything. I have a mutalated pile of metal brads to show for it.

So I kept moving, what's another way to make pronounced eyes? Well my favorite way of course, needle felt them!

I believe I have all the pieces ready at this point. The straps need a little sewing. I need to sew these pieces on when they dry. Not long now.

Custom Bunny Bag Day 3

I figured out the zipper yesterday and now I have a new challenge. How to attach the eyes!

Custom Bunny Bag Day 2

I made the pattern and already had to change it. I forgot to look at all the pictures for guidance. That's ok, we're all fixed up now!

I'm trying out this super sonic glue that glues anything to fabric. It's supposed to be washable afterwards.

Laying the pieces out, everything looks to be in the right proportion.

These are the outside pieces and inside I'm putting in a pink liner. That's what I'm figuring out now. Please don't ask me about zippers yet!

More Bags and Embellishments

These are some things I've been working on lately.

The yarn is a striping sock, washable wool.

The colors are irresistible!

Upcycle Bag

I changed it over to a toggle closure. I like that better.

This plastic coated wire handle turned out great. I just needed to sew it on in such a way that it looked nice and stayed put.

All thanks to Gil taking this box to bits.

Nice and sturdy!

Uninvited Guests

I have a nice little pile of bags I've been making for Swarthmore's Outdoor Craft Store on September 18th. It'll be my first, for real, craft show and I'm really looking forward. Especially since I won't be alone, Charlene my buddy in craft crime will be there with me!

Here's the link:

 And here's the uninvited guests.

No cats on the counter please!

Bags, Bags, Bags

I told you I've been working on bags.

The chain to start determines the width.

I made this one for my friend.

And these are a couple I'm in the middle of.

Happy Birthday

It's funny to hear her say, I'm getting old. She's 23 this year.

We had a couple things framed for her and I made her this bag.

I'm lovin these bags and learning new stitches!

Little Crochet Bags

I can't believe I said I would never learn how to crochet!
I've learned one fun crochet project after the other.
The bag on the right has a round bottom made by connecting a tight chain. The round bottom is made the width you'd like, by adding evenly spaced stitches as you go around the entire circle. When you have the size you want just crochet the stitches you have without adding more. Crochet round until you have the height you want.

The bag on the left is made by making a chain the width you'd like the bag and then crocheting around the entire chain. When finishing the first side add 2 extra stitches into the last stitch and do the same on the second side.  Continue crocheting these same stitches without adding any more until you have the height you'd like.

Great night time project!
