Hat Has Felt Flower

This is a night time project for when I don't want to think too much.
The hat fits an adult on the floppy side, it really needs a model!
Making flowers from thick sheet felt is so easy with a circle template. It's just a matter of cutting notches and shaping. This flower is removable.

Ribbon and Pie

This morning I needed to get a flower order finished.

Singed edge ribbon flowers with pearl and bead centers.

I used wire on most, which isn't exactly easy.

And Gil made an apple pie.

More Bags and Embellishments

These are some things I've been working on lately.

The yarn is a striping sock, washable wool.

The colors are irresistible!

Stripes

Lip balm necklaces are what kept me out of trouble today.

And an lip balm embellishment for good measure.

Evolution Of An Embellishment

What happens when you combine the utilitarian desire to carry your chapstick with the desire to snazz up your winter scarf???
You get a chapstick holder embellishment! There's got to be a better name than that!
Not to heavy for the scarf and you could use it to hold the scarf together.

This should surprise my sister!

Embellishments

Friday morning my sister said I needed to think embellishments. She showed me what she was talking about and then we brain stormed about how they would be used. She said granny square embellishments might look good on your granny square scarves. Great idea Amy!

This is a prototype I've been working on. I occasionally crocheted a bead into the square.

These are single crochet. I should try a flower.
