Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
Mr. Snowman is the only wintertime craft that didn't become a gift. That means I can show him to you. He plays The First Noel and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. I can also change his neckwear every year... if I feel like.

Color Change
This is an old project that I wanted to change.
My "dear" friend Elaine from elainesgems told me I needed to start dyeing my hair. She said she was willing to come over and do it for me... so sweet. Instead I decided to change the color of my tree canopy.
This has made me happy.

Jingle Bells
A music box snowman that plays Jingle Bells. Can you guess what I need to go out and get for him?
You can search this blog for more music box posts but here's one that shows how they're put together: http://karenmakesstuff.blogspot.com/2011/10/white-christmas.html

Todays Projects
I got Gil some antlers on Etsy...
and he made a slingshot.
The greenhouse is warm, humid and growing.
I finished the music box.
He spins to I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas.

White Christmas
I really wanted to do something with the rest of my music boxes. Since one of the boxes plays White Christmas I thought these guys would be appropriate.
The hole for the stand is off center so the box fits inside. How do you like the arms I found in the yard?
While the glue on the music box and lid dries I'll work on getting the snowman on the platform.
I use felt, I can felt, sew and glue it!
I left the rest of my thread from sewing the snowman to the felt so I can sew the edge later.
My second circle of felt has the hole in the middle.
He'll sit on another music box to dry overnight.

Amy's Santa Music Box
She searched around on the internet for such a music box but couldn't find one.
I knew it was my job as the big sister to make her a new one.
First I found the music box and worked out a way to conceal it.
Then it was Santa, my grandmom loved making dish detergent bottle Santa dolls for her family. I utilized a suit that she had made from one of her dolls.
I put it on a simple body...
and needle felted a face. What's cool is, he looks like our dad to me. As you can see, Santa can stand alone or sit on his music box and he has a lot of love and memories already inside him. By the way, he plays Santa Clause is coming to Town!

Something For Me Addition
How about a music box...
...installed in a candy tin...
...with a platform that spins...
...and a few pins?
