3 In 1 Necklace Using Magnets

This is the full necklace almost 33" long...

with lots of fun things going on.

Take off the first bracelet to wear with your necklace.

The bracelet is 7 1/2" and the new necklace is 25 1/2".

You just want a simple chain and crystal. How about 2 - 7 1/2" bracelets and 18" necklace.

All matching, all interchangable.

With the help of magnets!

Pros And Cons

Yes, this project had it's good parts and bad parts.

Pros
1. It looks good, kinda Halloweeny.
2. Look, the knots don't show at all.
3. The macrame knots are so small you can't see mistakes.

Cons
1. The macrame knots are so small you can't tell if you're making mistakes. ( I can't stand mistakes!)
2. The clasp should be dark but silver was the only color it came in.
3. The clasp is impossible to screw on by yourself.

Yes, I'll keep experimenting with this.

Bracelets & Kittys

It's nice to have several projects to go back and forth with. I've been doing a lot of beading as you can see.
And I'm still working on crocheted bags. They're nice to take with you in the car and for the waiting room.
I also had another 2 strand pearl bracelet to make that I believe came out nice.
I like the dangly beads on the bracelets and I've been having fun with pearls.
It appears as though the kittys are getting along, but you shouldn't be fooled! In between everything I have to make sure to play with them. They aren't as needy as dogs but they still want attention!

A Great Day

I spent the day with the greatest kid. I've know her most of her life but never really spent the whole day with her. She's crafty, spunky and fun to be around!

We started the day by going to Tyler Arboretum to see their butterfly house. I told her if we were going to create things today we needed inspiration. We got it, butterflies galore. These are just phone pictures.

When we got back we went to work. I wanted to make something that she could take home and enjoy. I did that fine but she helped me out as well. The bracelets you see here are what we worked on. We talked about what young people like and how much they'd be willing to spent for things. The wisdom of a child! She basically had me figuring out how much the whole thing cost per item. Her calculations were right before I ever finished mine. Kids know what they'll pay and what they like.

Afterwards I was able to quickly teach her how to do granny squares and we teased each other all afternoon.

A piece of advice, borrow some fun every once and a while. Does a body good.
