Before heading up to my friends on Friday I got myself organized. I bought a caddy to put my newly acquired jewelry stuff. Tools in the top box, findings and beads in the compartmental cases. Then I was ready to go.

You may remember I told you we would solder jewelry. Well we talked about techniques, discussed projects and examined her facilities. Then we beaded instead. Much more relaxing trust me! We both have lots of ideas and desires but we're definitely not single business women with time being our own. So ya do what you can. I'm quite happy with my bumble bee bracelet. Tomorrow I'll show you a jewelry technique Charlene showed me, I'm so inspired!

Real quick I'll show you how I put the charms right onto the chain. Obviously you can't close the loop if it goes on a closed ring.

We'll start with the open loop.

Put it through the chain.

Same as before, twist the wire around above the loop.

Snip with cutters close to the wire.

Use the flat nosed pliers to secure.

Permanent charm.

Head Pins

Load your head pin.

Using your round nose pliers measure off a short distance away from your charm, on your head pin, to accommodate a loop.

The round nose pliers make the nice round shape of the loop that you're looking for.

The wire that's left gets twisted around the pin a couple times.

You can use your flat nose pliers to hold the loop while you do this.

Use your cutters to nip the excess wire off.

Use your flat nose pliers to secure the twisted end.

This is the finished charm for stringing.
