I Want to be Needle Felted

I turned around today and found William in the middle of my needle felting.

I also had Simon up in the crow's nest, I am never alone!

I'll show you a couple things I've been doing in between bear stuff. A wool brooch for my friend Fran, don't tell.

A pumpkin for... whatever I made a pumpkin using my yarn method.

The trick is getting the yarn into the shape you want.

From Scratch

Gil had processed a pumpkin in Oct. and stuck it in the freezer in anticipation! I told him I could pick him up some premade pie crusts but he was adamant, "I'm making the crust myself!" So this is his completely homemade pumpkin pie.

Pumpkin Evolution

I felt like poking stuff yesterday so I got out my fiber.

I started with a neutral color ball for the center...

...so I wouldn't use up all my orange.

I poked the correct ridges for a pumpkin...

with an indented top and bottom.

To finish up he got a stem and leaf.
