Newest Hobby

Well it may not last long but I've broken out the brushes for gift giving.
Though this one here is a family collaboration in oil which started like...
this. (If you don't like it it's their fault!!!)
This one is for my daughter...
for over her sofa.
I did this one for my sister during a recent visit...
and though it resembles the fields she lives near in Louisiana,
it is actually a field in the north of England.
Also during my sister visit I faked a tattoo on my mom, hehe.
Clouds & ocean for a close friend.

Abstract ocean for another close friend.
I think I'll want to do a few more before I move on to another new hobby.

Button Brooch

When it's time to make a special gift I often turn to an admired project that someone else does. This is one I've wanted to try myself.
Of course that means trying to figure out how they did it.
Something that looks simple isn't always! The button is 1 5/8".

My advise, I started with a flat piece and then rounded it. Instead work on a rounded piece so your art doesn't get over worked.
