OK, What's Next?

 I shouldn't say what's next or I'll get a ton of suggestions!

 Amy's vest is done, it's more of a winter vest. Next time I'll make it more a spring/fall vest by using a lighter yarn. This one I doubled the thread because it called for chunky yarn. Of course she'll want one of those too.

 Not having to insert sleeves was wonderful.

This pattern now makes me an intermediate knitter, yippee!

The Back Is Done

Once I got into the rhythm this was enjoyable. The front is knitted as one piece, maybe like knitting a scarf?

This armhole decreasing part was a 4 row pattern, so after a while I was able to just sit and knit.

Here's a little jewelry gadget I just ordered for myself. It's called a 2 hole metal punch. Remember all that copper that my dad sent me, well now I won't need to dream about drill presses. This little doohickey should punch my holes for me.

Suggestions From The Family

 Have you noticed that my son and my sister keep me busy in projects.

This is the latest suggestion by my sister. A somewhat challenging vest. I've already had to turn the hem at a ridge row and join with the cast on edge. I've sorta done this in the past on knitted sock toes. 70 stitches though, take a little longer.

The pattern is in the winter/spring 2011 Knitscene Magazine as shown above. My sister graciously sent it to me with a bunch of page tabs already inserted. This publication isn't for the sissy knitter! I'll tell you what though, if Amy's vest turns out alright I'm knitting one for myself. Hey Amy, do you approve of the colors?
