Scallops

We had a pretty snow yesterday. It was the perfect backdrop for finishing a scarf.

I had finished sewing the blocks together and was about to put fringe on.

But I thought that a scallop border would pull it together. I'm very pleased with it and I hope our friend is too!

  1. Wow! This is beautiful! I love the colors and texture that this turned out!
Yes, you can spin with a small spindle, you can even make one yourself. Just google it, the easiest one is a cd spindle. I spun on a spindle for about two years before I bought a wheel!

  2. Did you make these as separate squares and then sew them together, or connect them as you made them?

  3. I connected them as I made them and then went around the whole thing with the scallop. The granny is basically made up of 4 stitches , so the scallop is a slip stitch, skip a stitch, 4 double crochet into the next stitch, skip a stitch.
