Under Cover

I found a simple recipe for a Portuguese type roll in the Back Home Magazine this month. I need to try it out. They are proofing at the moment.

I made a regular people version and a version that I'm going to eat.

The 2 big ones at the bottom are mine. They actually did better than the all purpose flour.

I cheated though, I used sprouted wheat flour which will not rise and a little all purpose flour. In this situation a little went a long way and it shouldn't bother me in this proportion especially when I don't eat wheat flour any other time! I'm not allergic I'm intolerant, big difference.

It's very yummy!

He Likes It!

Well the sprouted wheat flour crusts were a success, even Gilbert liked them! I'll makes rolls or bread next.

What a great evening with my family. We had a fun dinner (without Simon jumping on the table), went to the movies to see Harry Potter then came home and Daniel read 2 chapters of the book, The Deathly Hollows. It doesn't get better than that!!!
