My First Mohair Bear

These guys where cut out by Friday morning with an on looker. 1/4 yard fat cut of mohair that I picked up at the Doll and Teddy Bear Convention. I started the next part in fear and trepidation.

They say it's easier to work with but shiny long hair still slides. The hardest part is sewing the head around the nose. Not to bad I even have the head joined and stuffed! I'm waiting on some wool felt for the paws but I'll keep doing what I can.

  1. Looks beautiful already. And two bears out of that fat quarter is great. Thanks for the peek.

  2. So cute! I went through a period of making stuffed bears, not as easy as I thought it would be, yours looks great!
