Reworking a Spearhead

Gil rediscovered an old spearhead he had. We purchased it from a flint knapping artist years ago. Gil's gotten better at his flint knapping and wanted to turn it into a knife. He tells me he's not done yet but I thought, so far so good!

Axe Heads

He had some pieces down the basement that I hadn't seen. I wanted you to see them, beautiful! Don't tell him I showed you but I'm impressed.

Every time I touch that stuff I come in bleeding.

Flint Knapping

I told you I'd try anything.

My son and I , especially Gil, has been chipping away on our back step. It's now a glass shard hazard! Gil made the small purple piece and the black piece.

The bottom pieces on the above picture are flint we brought home from an England trip. We haven't tested that out yet.

Everything else, tools included, I bought my son online several years ago. It's nice to rediscover stuff you had tucked away!
